OUR STORY
Tay and Jon met in November 2022 after being introduced on Jon’s first day working in the survey team on the Western Sydney Airport project.
A schoolyard crush developed in secret and despite multiple work friends telling them they’d be perfect together, the relationship remained professional with simple passing waves hello and goodbye as they walked by each other, casual conversations about early starts and concrete pouring, and Jon helping to cook at the staff BBQ that Tay would maniacally organise each month.
In August of 2023, Tay was seconded to another construction project which inspired Jon to ask her to the local pub to celebrate the promotion. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
That brings us to today, where two awkward colleagues are now two best friends in love, who have created a home together, share a pair of Staffy-warthogs and a squawking rainbow lorikeet, and are so grateful that life finally crossed their paths.

Dress code
We have chosen an autumn garden party theme to reflect the season and would encourage a smart casual attire as there will be photography and videography on the day.
We strongly recommend lawn appropriate shoes as the event will be spread across hard surfaces, loose gravel and turf.
The average temperature in Agnes Banks in May is around 20 degrees and we will ensure we do everything we can to keep you and your family toasty warm throughout the celebration.
Kid friendly activities
We would love for you to bring your children along and we have ensured there will be kid friendly activities to keep them safe and occupied. Phone chargers, a baby change room and breastfeeding room will be available on the day also.
Please ensure to add any attending children to your RSVP so we can cater food and beverages appropriately.
Wishing well
While the greatest gift you can give us is your presence at our celebration, a wishing well will be set up on our behalf by our families if you would like to contribute.
